Every two years, Georgia’s WIN List gathers in Macon to celebrate the legacy of Viola Ross Napier, a Maconite and the first woman sworn into office in the Georgia General Assembly. This year we are thrilled to honor Amy Morton with our 2011 Viola Ross Napier Trailblazer Award. Under Amy’s leadership, WIN List has:
-
Hired their first full-time staff, PAC Director, Anna Beck.
- Set organizational fundraising records.
- Launched WIN Corps and sent three women to receive professional. campaign training in Texas.
- Elected twenty-six of twenty-eight endorsed women.
- Protected 95% of their incumbents.
- Flipped one seat Republican to Democrat.
Amy continues to be a visionary leader in Georgia politics. She has taken WIN List further than ever before in her two years as chair and we are incredibly grateful to her for her service.
For that reason, among many others, WIN List is thrilled to honor her with the 2011.
We hope to see you on August 3rd!
