There’s no doubt that Tuesday night was tough for Democrats, and yet Georgia’s WIN List bucked the trend in this year’s election cycle. has exciting news to share. WIN-endorsed candidate, became the ONLY Democrat in the entire state to unseat a Republican Tuesday night when she beat Jill Chambers. Elena’s race is one of ten in the entire country that flipped Republican to Democrat.

Twenty-six of the twenty-eight women endorsed by Georgia’s WIN List won.
With the help of our supporters we did the following this year:
- Add FIVE new women to the Georgia legislature.
- Protect 95% of our incumbents.
- Help Democrat Elena Parent defeat incumbent Republican Jill Chambers.
- Elect Dar’Shun Kendrick, Yasmin Neal and Stacey Evans, all NEW faces in the Georgia House.
- Add Gail Davenport back to the Georgia Senate.
While we are proud of this year’s accomplishments, our work is far from finished. WIN List has already begun working towards victory in 2012, 2014 and onwards-both by implementing a robust incumbent protection program and continuing to fund our recruitment and training efforts in swing districts.
