WIN List intern gives us her thoughts on returning to WIN for a second summer.
Throughout my 11th grade year in high school I was constantly being asked if I was planning to intern with the same non-profit or if I would try something different during the summer of 2011. As I took time to reflect on the work I did and the amazing people I met during the summer of 2010 I realized that I wanted to stay with Win List. When I first walked into WIN List during the summer of 2010 I knew a lot about politics but I didn’t know a lot about how a campaign worked, how to fundraise and how the little things mattered so much in electing a candidate. Fortunately, I had a chance to meet and learn from a lot of failures that were made in the past and successes that have helped candidates in the present. This summer I hope to continue to learn about the campaigning process and assist more women to be elected in the state of Georgia. I would like to thank the board of Georgia’s WIN List and Anna Beck for making this internship possible.
We are proud to have Kali officially back on the team this summer. She has already jumped right in, travelling to Macon on July 19th to campaign for Miriam Paris in the special election for Senate District 26.
