Reproductive freedom is under attack again in Georgia. In just 30 days, the state legislature will reconvene for the 2012 session. On the agenda: A criminalization bill that is being promoted as a “Personhood Amendment”. This bill redefines the definition of a person to include a fertilized egg. This would not only give fertilized human eggs the same rights and protections as you and me, but it would also outlaw In Vitro Fertilization (IVF).
There has never been a more important time to rally than right now. Supporting legislative allies in the battle to protect reproductive freedom should be your top priority in 2012.
