On March 26, 2013 the Governor of North Dakota, Jack Dalrymple, signed into law three bills that limit women’s reproductive rights in an unprecedented way-the most severe bill of the three outlaws abortions once a fetal heartbeat is detected.
But it didn’t stop in North Dakota.
Similar measures are being taken in Kansas, Arkansas and Virginia.
If you thought the war on women ended after last year’s election, you are wrong. Not only is the attack on women’s reproductive rights running rampant nationwide, in the next year or so it is coming to your front door. The 2014 legislative session in Georgia will focus largely on limiting a women’s right to choose.
You’ll never guess who will be leading the charge? That’s right-Republican men.
There has never been a better time than now to support the work of Georgia’s WIN List. With your help, we can work with our elected women in an attempt to block upcoming legislation targeted at stripping our reproductive rights. And while the 2014 election may seem a ways off, we have already begun working to recruit progressive women to run in potential swing districts.
Please consider making a contribution TODAY to support the work of Georgia’s WIN List. With your help, we can ensure that Georgia does not become the next North Dakota.
Thank you,
Georgia’s WIN List
